Question:

A customer from Canada asked “What is Rake Angle and what will give me the cleanest cut on MDF”

Octav:

Thanks for the question.

Rake Angle refers to the position of the blade teeth in relation to the product being cut. There are 3 different types of Rake Angles: Positive (15-27 degrees), Negative (0-8 degrees) and 0 degrees. The lower the Rake the better the quality but the slower the cut. A blade with a more aggressive rake angle will cut faster but the quality of the cut will go down.

I would recommend a 10” x 80T Mitre Wood blade (Item# NCSBP246 ) for a perfect clean cut on MDF
